Who am I?

I’m Virginia Ripple, and I write genre-bending fantasy for people who ask the deep questions — the ones about belonging, identity, faith, and what it means to find your family in the most unexpected places.

In the Malkins & Mages series, the cats are the heroes. The humans are supporting cast. Think Warriors, but with magic — and questions that don’t have easy answers.

There’s something about seeing the hard truths of life through eyes a little different from our own that makes them easier to sit with. My feline characters are unmistakably cat, and yet profoundly, achingly real. Readers often say they forgot they were reading about cats at all — until one did something magnificently feline.

This is a world you can visit to find yourself, or simply to rest from your own. The choice is always yours.
